Elif Gül Yılmazlar

Elif Gül Yılmazlar was born in Izmir in 1989. She graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law and completed her master’s degree in Human Rights Law at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Law. She conducted short-term internships at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey and the Capital Markets Board. Elif Gül Yılmazlar received awards in various competitions organized by ELSA, the European Law Students’ Association, the Union of Turkish Bar Associations, Ankara University, and Ankara Bar Association.
Elif Gül Yılmazlar was honored with the Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı Human Development Research Award by Koç University’s UNESCO Chair. Her research earned her research scholarships from the Raoul Wallenberg Institute in Sweden and the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law in Germany. She has given lectures at Yale University, Cornell University, and McGill University.
With her EGY Consultancy company in the Netherlands, she provides legal consultancy for prestigious companies on issues related to obtaining residence permits, establishing companies, making investments, and incentives. She continues to collaborate with local and international partners. Elif Gül Yılmazlar is currently pursuing her doctoral studies at Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
